So I know a lot of people post time goals and things they want to do well/improve on, but honestly, I've got nothing on that.
I'm freaking out, as per usual before any major event, and I just honestly want to finish. I also don't want to feel left behind. I know I'm going to be slower than most people, I'm ok with that, but doing this thing by myself and feeling like everyone else has left me in the dust would be really hard for me.
I'm guessing
on 3:30 hours, which I know most people could finish a course twice this length in that, but I'm being realistic. I'd love to be able to do it in under three. I have no idea if I'll panic in the water or cramp or something. I'm used to long leasuirely bike rides where you take 10 minute breaks for food and peeing. I've been told this won't exactly be like that. That said, I'm going to try, and who knows, maybe my competetive spirit will kick in and I'll be faster than I expected to be.
Either way, tomorrow is going to be a big first for me and lord knows I've eaten my weight in calories today to prepare for it.
